Building a Social Radar for the City

Aim of the Challenge
Using real-time social media data from Twitter, Foursquare, Facebook etc., develop a social radar website or mobile app that connects people with similar interests/hobbies or people who are currently close to your location. The application should provide a real-time visualization on a map. Access to data streams from Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook will be provided.
Skills/Interests Needed for the Challenge
No skills are needed for this challenge. This is an opportunity to learn how to access these different data streams in real-time, how to build a simple mobile app or how to build a simple website with a map interface (depending on the interests of those taking part in this challenge).
